ThiscontrolleriseasytoinstallandusebecausetherearenoexternalDIPswitchesandyoudonotneedtorestartyourcomputerforthesystemtorecognizeyourIEEE488.2interface.Itisaplug-and-playinterfacethattheOSautomaticallyrecognizesandconfiguresassoonasyouphysicallyattachittotheUSBportonyourcomputer.WiththeGPIB-USB-HS，youcangetupandrunningquickly，soyoucanfocusondevelopingyourinstrumentcontrolapplications.


TheGPIB-USB-HSisthefirstGPIBinterfacetotakeadvantageofthesuperiorperformanceofHi-SpeedUSBsignaling(480Mbit/s).PluggingitintoaHi-SpeedUSBportprovidesindustry-leadingGPIBperformanceusingboththestandardandhigh-speedIEEE488.1handshake.UsingaTNTfamilytalker/listener/controllerIEEE488.2ASIC，theGPIB-USB-HSimplementsthefullrangeofGPIBcontrollerfunctions，includingthoserequiredandrecommendedbyIEEE488.2.Italsoimplementsnormalandextendedtalkerandlistener，serialandparallelpolling，servicerequest，andpass/receivecontrolfunctions.DrawingpowerdirectlyfromtheUSBport，theGPIB-USB-HSrequiresnoexternalpowerinput.
