 中空玻璃有双层和多层之分。可以根据要求选用各种不同性能的玻璃原片，如普通平板玻璃、压花玻璃、彩色玻璃、夹丝玻璃等与边框（金属框架或玻璃条等）经胶接、焊接或熔结而制成。中空玻璃主要用于需要采暖、空调、防止噪声或结露以及需要无直射阳光和特殊光的建筑物上。 
Insulated glass is divided into double layers glass and multi-layers glass,which are comb-ined with frame (metal framework or glass strip etc.)by glue,welding or sintering process. Different property glass may be selected according to requirement,such as:common plate glass, figured glass,stained glass,wire glass etc.Hollow glass is mainly used in buildings with demand on heating,air conditioning,preventing noise or dew,as well as the buildings preventing direct sunlight and special light.
